Inserted below is my own work inspired by that of Plummer, and techniques leaned and used within the portraiture workshop. The use of a single light source exaggerates both the known and unknown within these images. From an outside perspective, we are often represented by things that actually represent little to nothing about who we really are. One of these things can indeed also be fears. Whilst some fears can be small such as a fear of spiders, some can be much more complexed and in depth. It’s usually the displaced fears that individuals struggle with most, and when the fear is in some way related to another person, we often spend the majority of out lives fearing we may become what it is we fear.
All images within this set were developed within Lightroom – a skill developed from within workshops.
